Paediatric and adolescent clinic

Children and adolescents from birth to the age of 18 are treated by competent and dedicated paediatricians and nurses according to the most current scientific standards.

The clinic possesses a large general paediatric ward, a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), a paediatric day department, emergency room and a special outpatient department for paediatric gastroenterology and hepatology.

The general paediatric department’s treatment spectrum includes all of paediatric and adolescent medicine such as diseases of the airways, infections, immune disorders, heart disease, diabetes, metabolic disorders, neurological illnesses, abdominal disorders, as well as concussions or surgical diseases such as appendicitis or inguinal hernia.
Particular specialties include diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the liver, pancreas, as well as nutritional and hormonal disorders.

Neonatology

For premature or ill new-born babies that require special treatment and monitoring, the NICU, located in the maternity ward, is outfitted with 6 incubators and provides round the clock care by paediatricians and paediatric nurses.
